Our guest: Bereczki JózsefFor one day, we are pleased to welcome Bereczki József, who has been engaged with tea for over 20 years and studied the foundations of the Japanese tea ceremony in Japan.His journey began with Chinese teas and, through his close connections to Japan, gradually deepened into the world of matcha and the tea ceremony.He started studying the tea ceremony in Japan at the Edosenke school, and later continued in the Enshu-ryu tradition. Drawing on these experiences, on this occasion he will present and lead a traditionally oriented matcha preparation.

Program OverviewAn immersive yet approachable matcha experience that begins with a shared introduction to the cultural and philosophical background of matcha. Participants then take part in a matcha preparation demonstration and ceremony in two small groups, focusing on taste, attention, and presence. Before and after the ceremony, guests are welcome to enjoy the tea house’s other offerings at their own pace.What do participants receive?

Welcome & Matcha Culture IntroductionA shared presentation for the full group (16 participants), introducing the cultural background, philosophy, and basics of matcha. Seating and standing are both available.
12:25Matcha Preparation & Ceremony – Group 1The first group of 8 participants takes part in a guided matcha preparation and ceremonial experience.
12:50 – 13:30Matcha Preparation & Ceremony – Group 2The second group of 8 participants joins the ceremony.
During the program, all 16 participants taste two different matcha teas, served in small cups (1–2 sips per tea).

Premium Teander Samidori matcha is served.
